Mike was an exceptional host - charming and knowledgeable about the historic house and happy to chat. The bed was very comfortable, there were lots of thoughtful touches in the room, and we loved the range of objects and book collection around the place! A really lovely experience, many thanks.
Accomodation was not comfortable at all, it was 150 years old fibre house, except TV set all furniture, bed, chair table and all electric devices were very very old and not comfortable at all for now days. It is four bed room old house , three rooms were made for guests. I was alone in the house.
Basic Breakfast and not good value for money...
Manager / Owner was very friendly and made a nice breakfast.
Good breakfast on warm plates!
The beds were extremely comfortable with quality linen, and our room was spacious. It was a very warm night so it was good to have the pedestal fan. The breakfast was very generous, and a good start to our day.
For the price, with breakkie thrown in, it was terrific. Furnished with interesting bits and pieces. Very very comfy bed. Nice and clean bathroom.
Excellent location to travel around the area including Cradle Mountain, Penguin, Devonport, caves, etc. Ulverstone has good food options and you can get all sorts of supplies. Mike really made an effort to make our stay pleasant. We used the BBQ in the backyard that was a really nice touch to the place.
Excellent host made us feel welcome and at home. Lovely hot breakfasts. Very spacious room, antique furnishings, with plenty of hanging space and luggage stand.

No croissants at breakfast (not a problem). Bed extra comfy. Enjoyed family room facility. Proprietor was always particularly helpful.
Location was close to our needs, lovely property on lovely grounds
The property was quiet and well presented. Mike made us feel welcome. We had a relaxing stay. Even though it was close to the main highway there was no road noise. The rooms had been renovated with bathroom facilities.
An interesting building with a rich history which has been carefully maintained. We were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed a fabulous breakfast with one of the best coffees in Tasmania.
Good old fashioned hospitality in lovely old home. Sherry in Guest Lounge.
The decor and the historic nature of the building is unique and worth the stay alone. The room was quiet, airy and well appointed for the price charged. It is close to Ulverstone and Devonport.
The host Mike was very friendly, had great local knowledge of the area and makes a great breakfast with a mean cup of coffee, The house was beautiful, had character and the complimentary sherry in the sitting room was a nice touch.

Terrific location, lovely clean room and a credit to the owner who does all the housekeeping and the garden. The breakfast was fabulous and we are already planning another stay when we are on the coast.
